• An invitation email that you will receive well in advance of the class will provide instructions with a simple one-click method to access Zoom, and also with a simple backup method.
• Your primary access will be by simply clicking on the link embedded in the email, which will appear something like this: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81515864176
• As a backup, you will also be provided with a Zoom Meeting Number and Passcode. To use this backup means of access, simply type https://zoom.us into your browser. Then click “Join A Meeting”, enter the meeting number in the space provided, and enter the passcode when asked to do so.
• Once entering the meeting you will be provided the option to join the meeting using computer audio, or via dial-in. Choose computer audio.
• The Zoom meeting will open 30 minutes before the class start time to allow everyone to get logged on and familiar with the platform, and will remain open for 30 minutes after the class ends to allow for some visiting time.
• All class start times are based on the Mountain time zone in the United States.

Your experience in this course will be most valuable if you work from a laptop computer with a good sized screen, and equipped with a web camera and a microphone, or at least from a large tablet. It is not recommended to use a small tablet or a phone, as the screens are too small to give you clear views of the most detailed work.

Class fee cancellations will be accepted for a full refund up to 24 hours prior to the first class session. If you cancel prior to the class kit being shipped (approximately 2 weeks before the class) the kit fee (plus shipping fee) will also be refunded at the time of cancellation. If your kit has already been shipped I will issue a full kit cost refund once the kit is returned to me in the original unopened condition. No. I really want everyone participating to have the best possible experience and obtain the best possible finished product. I am very particular about what goes into my kits. There are too many unforeseen problems that arise with everyone using different project materials. It can really drag an entire class down. Thank-you for your understanding on this.

The answer is a qualified yes. I can accept international students if they are willing to pay international shipping rates (which I cannot control) for the class kit and are able to work around the time zone issues to log into the classes. Examples of international shipping rates in US dollars for a padded flat rate envelope (most dress kits) is $38.60 (Australia), $37.45 (England) or $26.90 (Canada). A medium flat rate box (notebooks or combination dress/jacket kits) is $86.40 (Australia), $75.35 (England) or $51.55 (Canada). Please email [email protected] to arrange for international shipping. • Yes. I will be the Zoom host and will allow students to record the sessions. I would ask (nicely but firmly) that any recorded Zoom class sessions are for your personal use only. They are not to be shared with friends, guilds, You Tube, etc.
• That said, please be aware that there are technical constraints inherent in Zoom that make recording a somewhat complex task:
  
  • If you do record, your computer will automatically translate the recorded file into something that you can view, immediately after you leave Zoom. This takes a few minutes. If you disrupt the translation process which automatically launches when you close Zoom, you are likely to corrupt the recorded file.
• Recording is a non-supported feature for my delivery of this class so with regrets, I must advise that you are on your own with respect to recording.
• If you do wish to attempt recording, you must please arrive 15 to 30 minutes in advance of the class start time, as recording must be authorized individually, once you have joined the Zoom meeting.  I will not be pausing to deal with recording issues once the class begins.

The waitlist is a short term tool used only to fill last minute spaces due to cancellations in currently scheduled classes.  It does not carry forward.  Waitlists are emptied before each block of classes is released for sale.  You will not be automatically carried forward or signed up in the future, because courses do not repeat on any regular schedule.
